One of the best therapies for stress and depression is music therapy. With the powerful healing effects of music, it’s no wonder that playing music for your baby is calming and soothing, and aids in sleep.
When should you play music for your baby? You can start in the womb. Take some headphones and put them around your belly starting when you’re about five months along. Play some classical music or your favorite soft tunes. Like reading to your baby, a familiar song pattern will comfort baby in and outside the womb.
Choose the same song or two and play it for baby when she is in the outside world. She will come to associate this to being in the womb and it will calm and soothe her.
